There’s certainly one huge takeaway from living in the city when you were raised on beaches and waterfront views.
I tend to feel trapped within the concrete boarders of Manhattan, but to recognize that I’m not so far from the Hudson is a comfort of its own kind.
The Hudson River Park is my thinking spot. I go there when I need familiarity or a refreshed perspective. Sure, it is not like my little Cedar Beach Pier, but it comes close. There’s just something about sitting by the water that provides a renewed sense of clarity, something that I credit to my Hampton-obsessed Father, who growing up, made sure we spent as many Sundays there as possible.
