October Mood

There’s nothing quite like the crisp air on an October morning.

Today, I woke up earlier than usual for an Editorial photoshoot. I’ve recently been promoted to Beauty Senior Editor of Blush Magazine, my school’s student-run club. In the spirit of that, I decided to take on the major beauty article, the editorial piece, so that I can truly ensure my vision is being administered in the best light. I’m pleased to say that I worked with a great team of makeup artists, models, photographers and directors that performed beyond my expectations. I cannot wait to show you all how the images come out, I’m eager to see the official edits as well. To be dated!

Anyway, this morning I was a bit disoriented when I discovered that my heater was on instead of the air conditioner that I’d set the night prior. When I peaked at the weather app on my iPhone, I couldn’t believe that it was actually 50-something degrees!

I’m crazy about jacket weather. It puts me in the best mood. I realize that I’m not wearing my black leather jacket in any of these photos, but note that I definitely stepped out of the apartment wearing it with a huge grin on my face. 🙂

Hats have become a regular part of my styling routine, and I’ve actually found a funny solution for my imminent baby hair problem. By wearing my super cute Express hat, I remain hat-hair free and better, with a smoother, neater surface. How about that? Not all hats will do it, but because this particular one is softer than most, it definitely remained easy on my roots. Try it out!

Before the lipstick.
A girl who wears a scrunchie on her wrist is ready for anything.
I may look serious, but that’s only because I was cursed with resting b*tch face. I simply cannot help it at this point.
Soaking up that window sunlight.
I decided to swipe on the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Budapest. This pretty shade is best rocked with a neutral eyeshadow, or subtle berry tones.
Kicking back on this beautiful Saturday afternoon.
